Bukovik

Bukovik is a mountain ridge north of Sarajevo, with the highest peak 1534 m high. Bukovika massif belongs to the so-called Sarajevo Ozren, and is also the highest peak. In the region of Bukovika, there are two rocks with alpinist climbing routes (Bijela stijena and Strmnica).

Dirt-road access

From Sarajevo, drive to the village of Nahorevo. After the bus stop, continue straight on the narrow asphalt road. Follow the road for another 3.5 km to the location of Vića. At the end of the asphalt road, continue following the macadam for another 3.5 km. The road ends directly below the northernmost side of the ridge. The car can be left by the roadside.

Parking

From Sarajevo, drive to the village of Nahorevo. After the bus stop, continue straight on the narrow asphalt road. Follow the road for another 3.5 km to the location of Vića. The location is known for the catering facility "Hotel Promaja", with the host Dragan. Park the car in the parking lot on the right side of the road.

Road access

From Sarajevo, you need to drive to the village of Nahorevo. After the bus stop, turn right towards the hamlet of Gradac. Follow the road to the end of the hamlet. Park your car next to the road, or in agreement with the owners of the surrounding houses.

Bivy place

The bivy place is located in the immediate vicinity of the foot of the White Rock. The location can be accessed by car, with a note that the road is gravel from the village of Vića. There is no water on the site, but the spring "Sedan vrela" is a 5-minute walk away.

Spring "Sedam vrela"

Seven Springs is the source of the Nahorevo Stream, located on the northern slopes of Bukovik within the Skakavac Nature Monument area. The spring lies along the marked hiking trail to Bukovik, just below Bijela stijena.
